I've seen this thing go around where artists compare their artwork from 2009 to their current artworks and I need to be a part of this. Sounds fun!
So for me this was a bit difficult. I was 11 at that time and didn't take art very seriously back then. Things weren't dated and usually not on blank paper.
However I managed to track down something from my art class that should originate from about that time period:
I still remember being very proud of the result and getting an A for it :)
I also found something I made in my free time: dragons (of course). I was set on developing my own game and wiping Pokemon from the market back then. Yeah, that didn't work out exactly XD But I still have most of the drawings:
All of these should be from around 2009, but I don't actually think they make for a fair comparison.
2013 was the year I started taking art a little more seriously and when I drew this one:
I also found this one from the beginning of 2014:
That would be all of my older drawings. I went through a whole stack of these and looking through all of them was actually pretty fun. I definitely recommend it! I also found a few concept I still like and would want to revisit in the future when I have the time to do so.
And with that here's the comparison to my current art status :)
Hope I'll do better next time. Then I'll definitely have dated drawings and something to show. See you then! :)
